SERVICES
Each
session lasts approximately 1 ˝ hours. Each tape is approximately 60 minutes.
Each
interview session yields one to two 60 minute tapes, which are transcribed word
for word. The resulting thirty pages or so are then edited into an organized,
flowing narrative, removing the interview questions. The edited pages are then
read and edited by the interviewee, and reedited until a final text is agreed
upon. The entire process is usually done with multiple sessions simultaneously
so that the entire story is worked into a cohesive volume, designed to be
well-organized, easily read, and beautifully presented.
Initial
consultation is free of charge.

act of recording one’s memoirs is intensely personal. At the same time, the
recording of such personal memoirs provides future historians with a wealth of

given the opportunity to choose whether such academic professionals will
preserve their stories for future access. The client has the right to request
that all materials used in the acquisition and preparation of their memoirs be
returned to them and/or destroyed after the final product is returned to them.
